Medicare Coverage Options
There are two main ways to get your Medicare coverage. One way is to continue with Medicare as your primary payer. Because Medicare has deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance, and no maximum-out-of-pocket, you would add a Medicare supplement plan (such as plan G). The Medicare supplement plan would be your secondary payer. Medicare supplement plans do not have drug coverage so you will want to add a stand-alone Medicare Part D prescription drug plan.
The second main way to get your Medicare coverage is to purchase a Medicare Advantage plan from a private insurance company. These plans combine your Medicare's parts A & B and typically add prescription drug coverage. Click on the option below to learn more about Medicare supplement or Medicare Advantage plans.
